1. Nature

El Malpais, National Monument in NM

The National Park Service brochure, says Where Sharp Lava Meets Smooth Sandstone, and there is so much beauty in nature here, why I put this gallery here, rather than with travels.
In spanish El Malpais means badlands. It's volcanic features include jagged spatter cones, a lava tube system extending at least 17 miles, and fragile ice caves. The Puebloan peoples
of Acoma, Laguna, and Zuni, and the Ramah Navajo have been and still are here, and were at the fringe of a system centered in Chaco Canyon, where I also have images of. I've commented
certain images, just to share a bit more, and will be adding more images with future visits.

 • Okay, being an artist, one learns to see, sometimes things that aren't there, but the next image is this rock in reality, and the lower lips looked like
a sculpting lesson on planes that compose the lips, so I took things a bit further, but really just made a few changes (that Photoshop does so easily).
The original people of these land's referred to Mother Earth (and Father sky) so it was too easy to see a female face amongst the beauty of the rocks
